| Crowell & Moring, LLP Thomas Kruza III To make a long story very short, the client was renting part of a trailer when Katrina hit Mississippi, and also had personal property in a nearby storage shed. The trailer, shed, and all the contents were destroyed. The client is in awful shape, but tries to keep her spirits up. It's sad. In her mid-50's, three strokes, and she is now being told that the strokes may be a precursor to multiple sclerosis. She fell recently when her legs gave out and thinks she broke her nose. When I called her soon after that, she was stuck on the side of the highway with her male companion who had run out of gas. The client will lose her FEMA trailer this coming Aug 31st as things stand. She has taken over a friend's monthly payments on a storage facility (garage) in preparation for possibly having to live in it after the trailer is taken away. [Note: In late April, FEMA extended its support for the trailers until March 2008. However, some towns on the coast want to get rid of the trailers and are not renewing permits.]
